Why is April McClain Delaney baselessly accusing Joe Vogel of "spreading lies"?

Because she doesn't want you to get the facts.

Fact: Joe Vogel has only sent one written letter to voters introducing himself.

The letter only highlighted his support by public school teachers, Sierra Club, LGBTQ+ organizations, labor unions, and community leaders backing his historic campaign. Didn't see the letter? Read it here.

Any other mail was not sent, authorized, or paid for by Joe Vogel or his campaign.

Fact: April McClain Delaney made a $4,100 contribution to far-right Senator Jim DeMint.

All political donations are public — see the campaign finance filing for yourself.

DeMint said, “If someone is openly homosexual, they shouldn’t be teaching in the classroom and he holds the same position on an unmarried woman who’s sleeping with her boyfriend—she shouldn’t be in the classroom.” DeMint would go on to lead the ultra-conservative Heritage Foundation. What else has Jim DeMint said?

Fact: April McClain Delaney is “good friends” with Chief Justice John Roberts who oversaw the overturning of Roe v. Wade.

There’s a difference between having bipartisan friendships and cozying up to the same people that oversaw the fall of Roe v. Wade. Joe Vogel has a proven record of working with members of both parties to pass life-saving legislation. April Delaney has a record of cozying up far-right conservatives and MAGA extremists.

"'John and Jane [Roberts] are very good friends of ours,' says April Delaney."

Fact: April McClain Delaney hosts lavish Christmas parties with extreme anti-abortion Republicans like Tucker Carlson and Paul Ryan.

April McClain-Delaney is running as a Democrat, but the circles she runs in tell a different story. Show me your friends and I'll tell you who you are. Why was Speaker Paul Ryan and Senator Roy Blunt at her 2023 Christmas party six months ago?

Fact: April McClain Delaney lives in Potomac, MD — not the Sixth Congressional District.

April McClain Delaney doesn’t even live in the district she’s running to represent. Joe Vogel, on the other hand, lives in a studio apartment in Gaithersburg (and in the district).

Fact: Joe Vogel is the only candidate endorsed by Sierra Club and public school teachers.

Joe Vogel is running to be a voice for working Marylanders across the Sixth Congressional District. That’s why Sierra Club, public school teachers, and labor unions are supporting him. In Congress, Joe Vogel will be our champion.
